Lay two Abbeys, were officially combined during the XIX century, in order to form the eponymous village. Located on the moraine, the village offers the first panoramic viewpoint of the valley. In the past, a sign (found today on the front of a house) called the walker to stop: “au soum mé répaüsi!” (I sit upstairs). There is in the village an old church (XVII century) as well as magnificent houses of Béarn dating from the XVI and XVII centuries.
